1. Operational Engagement
By accessing the HACKOULU training environments, you agree to be bound by these operational terms. Our modules are designed for educational and defensive purposes only. Tekopas Oy provides simulated environments for authorized red-teaming and prompt-injection testing.
2. Authorized Targets
Clients may only deploy our testing methodologies against systems, APIs, and Large Language Models (LLMs) for which they have explicit, documented authorization to test. Unauthorized deployment of our techniques against third-party systems is a strict violation of these terms and applicable cybercrime laws.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
All simulated environments, challenge architecture, proprietary bots, and training materials remain the exclusive intellectual property of Tekopas Oy. Clients are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to interact with the platform solely for the duration of their contracted engagement. Reverse engineering, copying, or attempting to extract the underlying source code of our platform is strictly prohibited.
4. Confidentiality & Data Handling
Tekopas Oy commits to maintaining the confidentiality of any proprietary client data shared during custom enterprise deployments. Conversely, participants agree that prompt injections, methodologies, and interactions logged within the standard HACKOULU training environment may be anonymized and utilized by Tekopas Oy and its academic or industry partners for AI security research purposes.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The HACKOULU platform and associated training modules are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Tekopas Oy makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the continuous availability of the platform or its absolute accuracy in reflecting zero-day vulnerabilities in third-party LLMs. We do not guarantee that our training will prevent future cyber-attacks or data breaches.
6. Limitation of Liability
Tekopas Oy shall not be held liable for any system downtime, data exposure, or anomalous AI behavior that occurs on your production networks as a result of implementing or failing to implement the defensive guardrails discussed in our modules. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tekopas Oy’s total aggregate liability arising from or related to this agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific training engagement during the preceding twelve (12) months.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tekopas Oy, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or legal fees arising from your breach of these terms or your unauthorized use of the methodologies learned on this platform against unauthorized third-party targets.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising from or relating to this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Oulu, Finland.
